REVIEW - Heart Shifter by Charlotte Copper
Book Title - Heart Shifter Mitch Mingan has chosen to remain a bachelor; he doesn’t want anyone else to suffer his destiny. But when his cousin Ken dies leaving behind twin boys, it is up to Mitch to ensure his nephews are ready for what lies ahead. Inviting Ken’s widow Sarah and the boys up for the summer seems like a perfect start. For Sarah, a summer up north is the perfect opportunity for her sons to get to know their father’s family. It’s also a chance for Sarah to learn the truth behind why her husband left his childhood home at such an early age. What she doesn’t count on is falling for their handsome host. She also doesn’t count on finding out the family legacy: Mingan means wolf! |
I live in Stouffville, Ontario - that's in Canada, eh - with my husband, daughter, two part-time step-daughters, and two full-time calico cats. When not at my full-time job or driving my daughter around for volleyball, I like to craft, read, go to movies, and write. I am working on a series of (mostly paranormal) romance stories. I hope to have these stories published some day because, as a romance writer, I believe in happy endings! |
This book deals with a gentleman by the name of Mitch and Mitch just happens to be a wolf when he shifts. He is doesn't want to be tied to anyone because he doesn't want to put someone in his life just to make them worry about him while he is out running as a wolf. He doesn't believe it to be fair and so he has stayed a bachelor. Those reasons for staying single seem to disappear a little bit when he invites his dead cousins wife up with her two boys. Sarah has only seen Mitch twice. She doesn't know him or his family. But the more she is around Mitch the more she starts to relax and starts to get to know Mitch. The more she knows the more she loves. Especially meeting him in the kitchen by accident one night and she got to see the whole package! Sarah is in for a surprise once Mitch explains to her exactly what he is and that her boys are the same. I have to say I fell in love with Mitch right off the bat. He has a kind heart and wants to take care of Sarah and her boys. Falling for her was the last thing I think he expected. He enjoys spending time with the boys and Sarah. Mitch in my opinion starts taking Ken's place as the father figure long before either him or Sarah ever have that thought. He wants to be the one to help her boys with the shifting, especially for the first time. He just wants to be in their life and never have them leave him. Sarah is to me a widowed mom trying to survive raising her two boys all by herself. She is scared and with growing boys, she needs to keep a close eye on them to keep them safe. Her and Mitch seem to connect almost immediately. Love the story, love the author. Get yourself a copy because you will not be disappointed. |
