It is official. I am addicted to the Walker brothers. These books are just so much fun, and I love the characters, from Laurie and Curtis to the boys to the women or men (or more than one) that they love. The best thing about the Walkers are their acceptance of others. The love who you love without judgement and the fierce way they protect each other is very heart warming. The parents are inspirational, if only everyone had folks like them, no kid would feel abandoned. This family just gets under your skin, I find myself rereading the other books a lot. I loved Sawyers book. He is the happy go lucky one in the family. He is the protector of his brothers. He has played it fast and loose with women, and has spent more than a few nights sharing women with his best friend Grayson. But he has had his heart set on the one he couldn't have for over 8 years. He has watched his brothers settling down and starting families and he wants that. Being in his mid thirties, the love 'em and leave 'em routine is getting old. He wants something more. And Kennedy Endsley is the one he wants. Unfortunately, they grew up together and when they were in high school, Sawyer and his jock friends were mean and bullied Kennedy because she was book smart and geeky. When she came home from college, she was a bombshell. But hurt lingers deep, and she could not forgive Sawyer. She knew he had changed, but she also did not want to be a notch on his belt seeing as he had screwed most of the women around there. She wants to be treated special, not a one nighter. Sawyer has his hands full convincing Kennedy that he is in it for the long haul. Other secrets come to light about the favorite people around them. And Travis, Kylie, and Gage are expecting their first child as well. The updates on the other Walkers are as much fun to read about as the two main characters. This book is just as great as the others in this series, so if you are a fan, you will not be disappointed! Only 1 of the twins is left unattached. I am not sure what I will do when this series comes to an end. There is a day I am not looking forward to. These hunky cowboys are just too yummy!

I have been a fan of this author's other books, so when I heard she was writing a completely different kind of book, I had to read it. One thing I loved about this book is the fact that it is a very sweet love story. If you are looking for a story with romance, but not wanting to read erotica, this is perfect. One thing this author's stories do is not tell you every little detail. Much is implied, which allows the reader to fill in the details as they suit them. Yes, there is sex, but it isn't the focus and it isn't explained in detail. More of the focus is in how the characters feel when they are together, therefore, if explicit sex turns you off, this is a great read. I also loved how the main character is a writer of stories much like this author's own books. It makes it feel all the more real.
Melissa Loring is a successful writer living in Tucson, where she lives with her assistant, Hannah Mills. Her luck is looking up when her book is going to be made into a movie. Her world gets much bigger when her favorite movie star. Will Martinsson, wants to be in it. As they hit it off, their adventure takes them across the world, and she finds herself falling in love.
The characters are wonderful. Melissa is quirky and has self esteem issues, but she has a heart of gold. Will is every woman's fantasy, sexy, sweet, and he knows how to treat a lady well. His British voice is referred to as ear porn by the two ladies, and he is hard to resist. Their journey towards love is real and imperfect, endearing them to you. Hannah is slowly finding her own romance, but something horrible happened to her with her last relationship, so she stumbles a bit. The next book in this series will be her story and I can't wait to read that book. If you love a sweet, funny romance, this is the book for you. I really liked this lighter read, and I am sure I will read it again.

** spoiler alert ** I liked this book and was glad for the twist at the end. It totally caught me off guard. This is the first book I have read from this author and it won't be the last. The characters are well developed, to the point that I wanted to yell at Tuck to open his mouth and save himself. It is a fast paced book with Alpha males and a gutsy and sexy female pilot. If you love hot military guys and a sexy heroine, this is the book for you.
Delaney O'Connell (Razor) is one of the very few women pilots who fly the Seals into missions. She is Army, a pilot with the 160th. She is very career oriented and tries to not do anything that would hurt all her hard work. And sexy Seals are definitely something that could hurt her position.
Reed Tucker (Tuck) is a sexy Seal. He and his best friend Cory joined the military together and have come up through the ranks together. He is very interested in Delaney.
Cory Nipton (Reaper) is Tuck's best friend and a fellow Seal. He is interested in Delaney as well.
Delaney is on probation as he only female in command flying for the 160th SOAR. Her job is to fly the Seals into their dangerous missions. She has worked very hard for 3 years to get where she is. She knows that getting involved with a Seal would look very bad for her. Plus, she has been down this road before. She lost her future husband just a couple of weeks after they were engaged so she doesn't want to go there again. But Tuck was hard to resist. They had hooked up and she knew she had to put a stop to it. At a bar when they were all blowing off steam, problems arise when Cory asks her to marry him in front of the team. She does not give him an answer, but says she will think on it. Tuck is hurt by this, but does not tell his friend that they had been together. While they are deployed, a mission goes horribly wrong and Cory is hurt bad. She says yes to him to ty to keep him from dying, even though she loves Tuck, who is unable to tell her he loves her. When Tuck is invited to Cory's wedding, he believes his world is ending. The twists and turns of this book will keep you guessing right to the ending. This is a fun, sexy read.

Oh my gosh! This book is so utterly perfect, I was enthralled. Red Phoenix is so good at taking a story you think you know and turning things on its head. I was so blindsided by the direction this book took, I was overwhelmed by the discoveries one makes during this story. We have met and experienced Rytsar before. He was the first Dom outside of the trainers that Brie experienced at the first auction during her training. And we met him again when Brie went to Russia the first time with Sir. What transpires in this book will blow you away! This series just keeps getting better with every book.
Brie and Thane travel to Russia because Thane has business to deal with and Brie is going to do some filming for her second documentary. Last time they were here, Rytsar pulled a massive prank on Thane. They were a bit concerned about what he was going to do this time. They weren't disappointed. But something is very wrong when they arrive at his mansion. They move forward, but Thane is not going with them. He will meet up with them later. He gives restrictions to the Russian Dom, but Brie is still going to be under his skilled hands for a bit of teaching. Her trip will include a spin at a club, and lots of chills. What happens at the club had me gasping in shock! This book will grab you right from the start. There is no way you can anticipate what is coming. Red has out done herself with this incredibly sexy read. I am so addicted to this series, and you will be too. It is a fabulous book and you learn so much more about the sexy Dom. The shocker at the end will blow your mind. Buckle up, cupcake! This book will have you panting in no time!

This book took me by surprise. I hadn't heard of this author before, so I didn't know what to expect. This is an incredible read, the world the author has created is incredible and fascinating. The descriptive way to the story is so colorful and in depth, you feel like you are right there in that new world. I found myself not wanting the story to end, and it appears I get my wish, the threads left undone lead to a series to come. I will most definitely be reading more of the story as soon as it becomes available. One thing that really sets this book apart from other series' is that it seems most first books in a series have to waste so much of the story setting the scene for the rest of the series. This book does it so seamlessly that there is no long boring explanation of the author's world. You pick up pieces as you go through the story, never feeling that usual drag one encounters with created worlds in books. This author nails this right out of the gate.

If you love romance and fantasy, you have to check this book out. It is awesome!

Ok, this was so worth the wait. I hate to think this world is done. There is enough room for her to do more in the world she created, and she hints a tiny bit that this may be possible in the future, but the Bloodlines is done. I loved the pace, the way we get to see all of the favorite characters from earlier books, the surprise twist with Olive, all of it. Richelle is a great story teller. The cliffhanger from the last book was what had me on the edge of my seat waiting for this book. It delivered, in my eyes, everything I have come to expect from this author. This was just an all around, well told story full of well developed characters.
With Sidney and Adrian safely at court, hiding from the Alchemists, they were feeling the resentment of both of their worlds towards them. It wasn't feeling like they thought they would. But now they have a huge problem. They have to find Jill, but they can't leave court. When a surprise friend shows up with a cat to visit, things start looking up. The clue they have is for a place away from court, but they can't let anyone know they aren't there. So Sidney, with help, vanishes from court with out Adrian. On the hunt with her two helpers, they start following the clues. Adrian is facing his own trauma to deal with in the form of Nina. She is hunting for her sister, and things are happening that cannot be explained. Sidney has begged Adrian not to use spirit, but he cannot abandon Nina. When things go wrong, Adrian finds a way out of court and joins up with Sidney and friends. Now the journey begins. Can they save Jill and find Olive before it is too late? The whirlwind adventure that ensues is filled with unexpected revelations and danger, just how I love these stories! Come along on the ride and you will not be disappointed. Richelle really wraps this one up in only the way she does. It will have you barely able to sit still, taking you into the story and their incredible world. When I hit the end of the story I was like "Holy crap! I never saw this coming!" This is a fantastic read and this series is going in my oh yes I must read these again pile. Great book!

I love a dark, brutal story, usually. This book isn't so much bad as it is too short to tell the story better. I am not squeamish, so the non consent aspect wasn't where I had issues. Kari introduces what could be a very interesting take on werewolves. I am all for it, but it dropped the ball by not taking enough time to explain the why of things. How does the whole "kept" human thing work? Why haven't they fought back? Why take a random person? Why not go for the wealthiest of them to earn more money? Why are the humans so horrible? If you get in a fight with someone, do you bind them up and leave them for the wolves as well? Too many of the things as to how the world she created don't make sense and/or are not explained enough to make it plausible. Okay, so letting go of reality and just dealing with the story- it is kind of hard to connect to the characters because for the most part, all they do is rape Wyatt after his brother drugs him and dumps him for the wolves. A couple of lines about tracking Andrew down, then back to the sex. For the most part, Wyatt's life is over. If he doesn't secure protection from the wolves, he will be a slave to the humans and a second class person. If he secures favor, all his earnings will go to Andrew. That system is messed up. I mean, you survive, the wolves claim you, but it doesn't matter because now you work for free and all your wages go to someone else? Why would anyone not jump off a bridge? Why wouldn't everyone who is taken just provoke the wolves to kill them? Too much of the story just doesn't make sense. It could have been a brilliant take on werewolves if there was just more to it. I wanted to love this. The blurb was great, drew me right in. It just needed to be fleshed out more. I liked the little twist at the end with Wyatt's dad, but this book needed at least one hundred more pages and then you might have had a wonderful book. If you just want to read about the sex, this book did that very well.

First in the new Portland Heat series!
This was an interesting book, but for reasons that are different. A lot of romance books are quick to the actual physical sexual interactions, but this book takes it slow and it works for it. The characters are well rounded, and their path is slow for understandable reasons. This is a very sweet book, and I hadn't read one of those in a while. You feel the characters frustrations and fear, and I found myself rooting for them, hoping one would take the risk and lay it out on the table. It is a good length as well, it is a book you can read in an afternoon, and it is not too short.
Robby owns his own coffee cart in the business district. He is in a hundred year old building atrium. He is single, having been so for two years after Brian. He shares an apartment with roommates as he hasn't ever had enough money to afford a place in Portland alone.
David P Gregory is a finance director for the Library. He is shy and reserved, not really sure of himself. He had been in a relationship with a cop who wasn't out and who barely cared for him. They had grown up together, but the relationship had been in secret, going as so far as his boyfriend had been married briefly. David wasted 12 years with the guy until he was killed, leaving David very emotionally messed up and having zero idea of how a real relationship should be.
Robby looked forward to lunch time when a cute customer would come in every day and get a coffee. Robby thought they might be flirting, but he didn't know if David was gay or not. He gave off mixed signals all the time. When David forgets his wallet, Robby grabs the opportunity to feel him out by inviting him to see the Pride festival, seeing as he was working it for a friend. Their relationship is moving along, albeit at a glacial pace, and Robby is having trouble figuring out what is wrong. He feels a bit one-sided since David never makes a move and if he does, it is out of sight of others. When he realizes why David is the way he is, they forge a path forward. But life is rarely smooth sailing, and these two have some major issues to work through, if they can. Trouble strikes, and things go downhill. Can the two of them find happiness? Or maybe, they might just have been too damaged to find a way to fix themselves. The pain the two men face and go through will grab you by the heart. David has really been treated poorly and it has done a number on him. I found his journey the most heart wrenching, and I could not stop reading. I had to know how it ended. It is a pleasant read that will make you think about how your actions can help or hurt another person deeply. If you like those kinds of books, this is for you.

Derrick Richards, a grizzled laid-off logger, inherited the B&B after his parents’ untimely deaths. Making beds and cooking sunny-side-up eggs is hardly Derrick’s idea of a man’s way to make a living, but just as he’s decided to shut the place down, Ginsberg shows up on his doorstep, pitiful and soaking wet, and Derrick can hardly send him packing.
Not outright, at least.
The plan? Carry on the B&B’s tradition of terrible customer service and even worse food until the pampered city-boy leaves voluntarily. What Derrick doesn’t count on, though, is that the lousier he gets at hosting, the more he convinces bored, busybody Ginsberg to try to get the B&B back on track. And he definitely doesn’t count on the growing attraction between them, or how much more he learns from Ginsberg than just how to put out kitchen fires.
This was a very interesting story. I loved it because instead of the normal m/m being two gay men or bisexual men, this one has a transgender male and a closeted gay man. I was very impressed of the way they portrayed the transgender man. He made no excuses, was very honest, and he was very endearing. This was my first read with this dynamic, and I cannot wait to read more. For those of us who do not face this daily, it was very enlightening. The story line is very compelling, and I found myself drawn into the story and I did not want it to end.
Ginsberg Sloan is a 31 year old transgender man who works as a stunt man on a very popular TV show. He does not look his age, he looks much younger. While filming a stunt, he breaks his arm and has to stop working for a couple of months, but he has nowhere to go.
Derrick Richards is a lumberjack, yet after his parents were killed in an accident and he had been laid off, he is back running his family's B&B. And he is doing poorly. He is hung up on appearing male, he was teased because he worked for his parents when he was younger and was teased because he did maid duties and such. He is an angry, frustrated guy who wants to just shut the place down and walk away, but he doesn't have a choice at the moment.
When Derrick heads home determined to shut the B&B down after a difficult couple of guests and his screw ups, he sees Ginsburg huddled on the front porch soaking wet from the rain. He invites him in to warm up and realizes the kitchen is on fire because he forgot to turn it off after burning breakfast earlier that day. When Ginsburg puts out the fire, he decides to let him stay. But he doesn't want him to stay long so he tries to sabotage his stay. Derrick feels defeated and now he is feeling drawn to this adorable man and he doesn't know how to act, or if he should. He knows once Ginsburg's arm heals, he will leave and Derrick is afraid to be hurt. They go back and forth as time moves on, and Ginsburg is helping him fix the place up. This is giving Derrick hope, but for what? To find himself in the same place down the road with the addition of a broken heart? When Derrick gets scared and runs Ginsburg off, will that be the end? Should he shut the doors and go back to logging? The drama that ensues is heart breaking and heart warming. Will the little spitfire melt the loggers frozen heart? Can Derrick see himself the way he is or will he stay haunted by what he thinks his family would have felt? Can these two fragile yet sturdy men find a way through the fear to a place they can both be happy in?
The characters will draw you in, but the honest journey of the story will have you coming back for more. This really is a good read, and if you are like me, it will educate you at the same time, and that is a great thing.

Alec helps her to understand herself a bit more, and this one is as sexy as January, yet completely different too. I am really looking forward to March, if these keep getting better and better! This book rocked! Although the title doesn't really tell you much, this is one book I am so glad I read! The characters are incredible and well rounded, the story line is gripping, and the humor is just what I needed. The flow of the book is what really sealed it for me. It is a fast paced book that doesn't drag at any point. I was already a fan of Matt Ortiz, but this book is night and day different than the Oswald witches series. This is funny and crazy, and the sexy bits will melt your e reader.

He had begun the company ten years ago with his partner at the time, Dag. Dag is a cross between a Norse god and a man child. He is the PR guy, the schmoozer, the guy everyone wants. His marriage was pushed by the parents, and even his ex, Ethel, knew he was gay and wanted the divorce. They are friends and raising the boys between them. When Hugh tries to help Mickey by bringing the crate to his warehouse as soon as it had cleared customs, he is rewarded with a crate of dildos to the head. Granted, he saved Mickey from it, so all was not for nothing. Their romance, and the drama of pushy ex boyfriends and challenging teenagers is the heart of the story. But you will be rolling from the antics of the staff and the running of an adult online store. This book is a definite must read for all of you who love a great romance. It is also a tale about learning to open your heart, not letting love slip by you because of pride, and also that there is usually a darn good reason why someone is an ex. There is so much that happens in this book, just go buy it and see for yourself. Mickey and Hugh will warm your heart and make you laugh out loud. What else do you need?
