I was happy in my small town. In my life as a single, thirty-two year old woman. I had a good job, wonderful friends, my independence.
I also hadn't got laid in three years. Hadn't been on a date in two. Had stopped counting calories and wearing makeup... a while ago.
Then Brett Jacobs waltzed in. Caressed my thigh, dug rough fingers into my hair, lowered his soft mouth to my skin, took sexual control of my mind and stirred it all around with what he packed in his pants. He flipped my quiet life upside down and crawled into a place in my heart I thought was dead.
The issue is his secret.
The issue is her.
The issue is that I don't even know she exists, and he thinks she's dead.
The issue is that shit is about to hit the fan and I can't hold on to him tight enough.

I started this book thinking I would know which way this book would head within the first couple of chapters. Boy was I wrong. Not only did I keep getting it wrong, I was so far off that I had to go back a read it again just to make sure that I was not crazy. I will admit to being confused at times when the book would jump back and forth. That is not an excuse, that is just damn good writing. This book had me so engrossed that I was actually reading it when I was supposed to be paying attention to orientation for a new job. Thank goodness I am already familiar with the set up or I would just have to plead stupid on training day.
My husband and I usually share my kindle when he is home. I threatened to break his fingers if he touched it before I was done with this book. He made a sandwich for supper. I know that there are going to be people that bash this book (there always is), I however loved how this book kept me going back and forth and second guessing the plot and characters. It kept me on my toes.
I give this book 5 stars all the way. Entertaining is too mild of a word to describe this book. I am for sure picking up more of this author’s work.

Being a popular Dom at the nicest BDSM club in town would be the top of the mountain for lots of guys, but for Steffen Cothran, it’s meant heartache. He lost someone he thought he might be able to have a future with to his best friend when Trish Stinson and Clint Winstead patched things up. He knows he wants a relationship, but so far he’s had trouble finding that one person, the one he knows he's meant to be with, to make that happen.
That all changes when Trish and Clint walk into the club with Trish’s best friend, Sheila Brewster. Even though he's met her, he never really had much contact with her. But Clint has a plan: He’s looking for a Dom to protect Sheila in case her abusive ex-boyfriend manages to get paroled. And Clint happens to think that Steffen is a great candidate for that position.
Steffen and Sheila’s relationship starts casually and quickly grows into a promising romance. But one question makes all the difference, and when Steffen doesn’t lie but doesn’t tell the whole truth with his answer, Sheila’s left wondering if she can ever trust anyone again. And when Steffen’s little omission shows up on his doorstep in full-blown chaos, the relationship he’d had such high hopes for is shattered, possibly forever.
In the aftermath, Sheila sets a course for self-destruction that turns out to be more dangerous than anyone could’ve imagined. With no one to blame but himself, Steffen finds it hard to help a woman who won’t have anything to do with him.
Two broken hearts. One huge mistake. A few really bad choices. And a lifetime of pain if things can’t be righted. It may be impossible to mend the broken trust, and their love could be lost forever.
The second in the Me, You, and Us series following Adventurous Me, Steffen’s story in Unforgettable You is funny, smart, sweet, kinky hot, and heartbreaking. It’s a tale of what happens when you forget that there’s not a lot of difference between a lie and a partial truth, and what love really means when two people belong together.
WARNING: This book contains explicit sexual situations in graphic detail. Not intended for readers under the age of 18. Reader discretion advised.

I loved Unforgettable You by Deanndra Hall. This book will tell you the continuing story of Steffen and how he finds a new love. Of course there is going to good and bad times. The worse is when he neglects to reveal a vital piece of information. The trick now is to see if he can win back the other half of his heart.
I give this book 5 stars because the ups and downs really keep you engrossed in the story. This is not your usual everyday fairytale. There are parts that are not for the faint of heart. I loved every minute of reading this book. Yes, that includes the times that I wanted to strangle Steffen.

I’ve been betrayed by someone I trusted. Because of him, I was captured by my loathed enemy: The vampires. Right now, the sun is still high in the sky, but I know when it sets, I’m as good as dead. They can’t wait to get their fangs into me. I guess some would say I have it coming. I did raise a lot of hell with my Resistance crew, and I was planning on raising a hell of a lot more at dawn before I was sold out by Jonah. The vampires, werewolves and dragons, have been trying to track me down for months and I’d always been two steps ahead of them.
*Laughs* I guess my number is up. I just hope they make it quick. You see, the vampires in my reality aren’t the romantic lot you read about in books. They don’t sparkle or hang out at high schools with their teenage girlfriends. Hell no, vampires are brutal, calculating, sadistic and bloodthirsty. As a matter of fact, all of the monsters are! That’s how they were able to take over the world so easily and change an entire civilization to suit their needs. Whatever happens, I know it’s not going to be pretty, so I’m preparing myself for the worst. May God help me.
Warning: This novelette series contains hardcore sexual situations between men, not meant for sensitive eyes. I’m talking crude, lewd and full of attitude. This series will most likely either offend you or get ya revved up. This series isn’t going to be pulling any punches whatsoever, so you’ve been warned. Mature Adult Content meant for readers looking for something dark, taboo, sexy, and unapologetic in their paranormal erotica. This is NOT a romance. This novelette is approximately 13300 words.
If you are looking for sweet, consensual, and happily ever after, Embraced by Nicholas Bella is not the book for you. I found this book awesome and dark at the same time. What would you do if the choice to live as a creature you hated or die was taken away from you? That is what happens to Noel. This is just the beginning of his journey. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series to follow his progress.
I give this book 4 stars. It was not what I was expecting, but is so far outside of the norm, that I thought my kindle would start smoking because of how fast I was reading it. I would recommend this book to anyone who is not offended by the dark.

When the billionnaire Maximilian Blackstone's gaze washed over Alexander Bishop he knew she was what his body, his mind and his sexual desires craved to make him whole.

Temptation in Black by Rachel E. Rice was a little bit of a disappointment to me. I found myself irritated by Alex’s behavior. Mentally she wants Max and loves him. However, she constantly acts like she can’t stand him and pushes him away. Another point against her is that she begins to use her child as a weapon. I liked the first book, but this second one has left me a little disillusioned. I mean, she left her child with her parents so that she could move to where Max is to get revenge.
I can only give this book 3 stars. I felt I was reading about a 12 year old most of the time instead of a grown woman with a child.

A woman in trouble. A man she loves but can't trust. When ex-SEAL Nate Wolfe learns a woman from his past is in danger, nothing will stop him from protecting her. Not even her. Dallas Child Protection Services Investigator Kay Taylor doesn't want or need Nate in her life. But he doesn't seem to understand the word no. He seems to also have forgotten the brand he left on her heart. When Kay is taken and sold to a monster, the devil himself couldn't stop Nate from doing whatever it takes to find her...but will he be in time?
Holy Hell I love Nate in Hell or High Water by Jerri Alexander. I am an odd ball and read the third book of this series first (saw the pick and just got it). I loved that book so much that I decided that I wanted to read more from this author. Imagine my surprise when I saw that there were more books to this series. Nate is strong, silent (when he needs to be) and absolutely yummy. Kay never had a chance.
This book was another one that made me late for work. I got so lost in the story that I missed punch in by a few minutes. I was impatient for lunch and break just so I could get back to it. Now that is a story worth reading.
While I know that Kay had her reasons for how she acted, I did find her to be a little immature at times. I still loved her character though. I give this book 5stars because I loved it so much. Now I am off to read the next book of this series.

Ex-Army Ranger Tyrell Castillo's first mission for Lost and Found, Inc. goes awry when his contact is kidnapped, and he's left scrambling for weapons and explosives. The cartel leaves a trail of blood on their hunt for Ty and Ana. When Ty receives the order to kill the drug lord with extreme prejudice, he and Ana will face the enemy head on. Can Ty protect the woman who's hell bent on vengeance? The woman he's grown to love?

A Cold Day in Hell by Jerrie Alexander did not disappoint. When I finished the first book of this series, I was ready to jump right into the next one. Jerrie Alexander knows how to keep her readers invested in the story. This book has action, adventure and just a hint of sex. Ok maybe more than a hint, but it is not all throughout the book.
I went back and forth on who the mole could be but was still surprised on who it actually was. I love this series and I hope that there ends up being more to them.
I give this book 5 stars. As soon as I finished reading it, I was on the phone telling friends and family that they just had to read this book. I think I may have even told my son…lol.

REVIEW–Lessons In Forever by Julie Raust

Widowed at a young age, Rachel Halson has spent the last 20 years as the ultimate mother, volunteer and picture-perfect good girl—and she’s had enough. Now she wants to experience all things sexual. The only problem is that Rachel’s not sure she has it in her; fortunately, that changes the instant she meets Detective Mitch Lang.
Mitch is gruff, demanding and definitely not the type to break in a mild-mannered homemaker from Wyoming. However, after one taste of her, Mitch finds he wants nothing more than to teach the lovely Miss Halson all the naughty things he can do to her in his bed.
Luckily, Mitch and Rachel both want the same thing—sex. No strings, no emotions, just hot, wild sex . . . and lots of it.
But when casual begins to feel like commitment and a dirty cop threatens their relationship, Mitch and Rachel must decide if what they have is actually worth fighting for.
Warning: This book contains a mature sexy, alpha male hero who knows how to make a curvy woman scream in bed, on a table, against a wall, on the floor and anywhere else he pleases. Its spicy sex scenes may be too hot for some to handle, and there’s no lack of four-letter words. Luckily one of them is 'love'.

Lessons in Forever by Julie Raust was a great read that had my heart breaking toward the end. Just when she thinks she is getting her life together and taking charge of her sexuality, Rachel is almost arrested for prostitution. She meets a hunky detective and the sparks fly right off the bat.
This couple comes together for one reason and soon learns that they do not want to be apart for any length of time. Their trust and love will be tested in this story.
I give this book 4 stars. It was very hot and entertaining. If you are in the mood for a quick read, this may be just the thing you need to feed your reading addiction.

When Maximilian Blackstone's erotic gaze washed over Alex, he disappeared into her body.
Recent college graduate Alexander Bishop accepted a position at Blackstone Enterprises, where she was mesmerized by the handsome, thirty-something billionaire Maximilian Blackstone who is into bondage and S&M. Unable to accept his lifestyle, she leaves Blackstone Enterprises only to return three years later for revenge disguised as a blond BDSM enthusiast to satisfy Max’s every need. Will Max learn Alex’s real identity before she becomes entangled in the S&M lifestyle?
The incredible Mr. Black by Rachel E. Rice is a pretty good story about opposites attract. Love at first sight and revenge is the name of the game in this book. I like the story even though I sometimes have a hard time following the thought process of Alex as she plots revenge against Mr. Black.
It is a hard pill to swallow when you give your heart to a man only to have him leave you with nothing but a note on the pillow. That is what happened to Alex and she sets out to get revenge in an unusual way.
I give this book 4 stars. I know this book is only the first of the series and I am hoping that the next book is just as interesting as this one. The characters are entertaining even if sometimes they leave you scratching your head in wonderment.

REVIEW – No Chance in Hell by Jerrie Alexander
After a drunk driver killed Marcus Ricci’s wife while he was deployed in Afghanistan, he closed up emotionally. Working at Lost and Found, Inc., he lands a puzzling case with too many missing pieces. A killer is closing in on the woman Marcus is supposed to protect. Guarding the beautiful Chris is his job—and he’s one of the best—but keeping her close without letting her inside, makes it hard to protect his heart.
A murderer took the only family Chris Holland had left. When her sister’s killer comes after Chris, she turns to the Lost and Found agency for help. As she and Marcus Ricci dig into her background, they’ll discover surprises that shake everything she believes to be true about her past.
Forced together day and night, passion ignites, and Chris falls for Marcus. He’s a loner and not interested in a permanent relationship. When her case is over, he’ll go back to his solitary life. Just a man and his dog.
No Chance in Hell by Jerri Alexander almost made me late for work. I was so caught up in the story that I lost track of time. This books has a little bit of everything, action, danger, romance, sex. There was no part of me that was not satisfied reading this book. Even having to work, I was still able to finish this book in one day. Supper was a little late though.
The characters of this book feel like family, they are down to earth and very protective of each other. The twist toward the end of the book took me by surprise. While I knew the killer was someone from the past, I did not really see that identity coming.
I give this book 5 stars. I could not stop raving about it and actually started calling people to tell them about it. If you like a story that has a little bit of everything, this is the book for you.

Jared “Hammer” Caufield is a former Army Ranger and retired professional MMA champion that had to give up his fighting career due to a knee injury. He is a bad boy through and through, but that doesn’t stop him from craving the sweet little bakery owner, even though he knows she is too good for him…
Bakery owner, Kalista Redford, is a woman who has had a difficult past. She has always struggled with her self-esteem, and her last breakup hasn’t done anything to help improve her opinion of herself. When Kalista finds herself pursued by the dark and dangerous man she has secretly dreamed about, will she be able to follow her heart or will past insecurities threaten to ruin her chance at true love?
I just loved Hammer’s Fall by Laurie Roma. Hammer is an ex Ranger, ex MMA fighter, a current gym owner and totally has a thing for Kali. You are immediately drawn to him because of his tough persona with the soft yummy gooey inside.
This book drew me in from the minute I started reading it. I am hoping that there are more books to this series because I want to read about some of the other characters mentioned in the book, especially Hunter.
This author was so clear in her descriptions of the characters that I was able to see them clearly in my head. I give this book 4 stars and look forward to reading more from her.

Trish has big plans for New Year’s Eve: a giant bowl of popcorn, a nice warm blanket on the couch, and binge-watching TV all night long. With any luck, she’ll be fast asleep when the clock strikes twelve.
Not if her vivacious friend from the gym gets a say! Lori has salacious plans, and she’s persuaded Trish to join the party—even if it takes a touch of trickery to get Trish out of the house.
Trish isn’t exactly overjoyed when Lori drags her to the Cougar’s Eve New Year’s party at a swanky resort hotel. Trish is definitely NOT a cougar. In fact, she hasn’t been to bed with anyone since her husband split, and that was years ago.
When the hotel’s gorgeous young receptionist teaches Trish a few tricks, she can’t help wondering if Lori’s had the right idea all along. One night living the cougar life couldn’t ruin her forever… could it?
Not sure what I was expecting when I started reading Cougar’s Eve by Giselle Renarde, but a cold shower was not it. This was not a very long book, but there was enough in there to pack a punch. If there was a story that showed one woman discovering her sexuality, this is the book. She may not have been happy to discover where her friend was taking her, but she learned to love it not long after getting there. She surprised her own self in what she found as a turn on.
I give this book 4 stars and want to know if there are going to be more books extending from this story. They are great if you need a quick read fix. I would have no problem recommending this book to any of my friends that like erotica.

Whenever Fidelity Scott hears a certain gentleman’s name, she turns into a mindless, quivering puddle of drool. Well, in all honesty, every young lady does. Sylvestre Brightenburg is that bewitching. He leaves no room for any other man in Fidelity’s thoughts, not even close family friend John Greysteil, whose excellent manners and handsome face perhaps don’t get the attention they deserve.
But when Fidelity realizes everyone in Mayfair knows of her name-induced drooling, she’s mortified to her bones. Her reputation’s only hope is for her to escape to the country, even though that will leave her two young cousins without a chaperone next season. But before she leaves, Grey convinces Fidelity to attend one more masked ball. Armed with a new and sensuous gown, a full-face mask, and complete anonymity, she’s determined to make some scandalous memories to sustain her for the rest of her Brightenburg-less life.
But Grey has other plans for her last evening in town, plans that don’t include the blistering rake all the ladies are sighing over. How can he convince Fidelity she’s making a terrible mistake? How can he win her heart in the crush of a winter masked ball?
Love, Unmasked by Vivian Roycroft was a delightful read. It shows us that just because we think we might want something with our whole heart, when we finally receive it, it is not what we really wanted. Such is the way of wanting the cutest guy in the neighborhood.
Fidelity almost misses the guy of her dreams because she fancies herself in love with another. I love the lengths this girl was willing to go to achieve her heart’s desire. Luckily, she sees the light before a scandal is created.
I give this book 4 stars because it was fun to read. This is a book you will want to read when you are short on time, but just have to have your reading fix in. It is fun and whimsical at the same time.
