After the Storm:

I had not read any reviews of this book before starting it so I was pleasantly surprised by how gripping this story was to me. This book is just the right length for a one long sitting, and the suspense and plot twists keep you turning the page to find out what comes next!

The story begins with Alexia, she is living on the Mass. coast in her grandmothers cottage. After her death, Grandma left the house to her. Next door is a huge estate, but she does not know who lives there. One day, while taking pictures in her neighbor's garden, she meets Noah Mathews. He is a famous rock star home for a vacation after 15 on the road. Lexi is feisty, trying to not fall for Noah. She has demons in her past, and is afraid of falling for Noah. After things start happening, she tells Noah everything, and he tries to help her find answers. If that was not enough for a great book, the twists start coming. The bad guy might just not be where and who she thinks he is. And her nightmares might just be starting. Can Noah protect the woman he loves? Or will the evil lurking in the background suck Lexi deep into a hell she can't survive?

Along with a great cast of secondary characters, this book does not disappoint! The three old ladies at the senior center will have you laughing while you are on the edge of your seat. I loved this read, and I cannot wait to see how it all ends up!

Eye of the Storm:

As great as the first book, After the Storm is, this book holds its own just as well. Usually in a series, the books take a certain path that is predictable. Not so with this book. I was completely surprised at where the story moved to. I loved this tale of strength, courage, and perseverance, thrown in with a whole lot of mystery and suspense, that when I sat down to read it, I could not set the book down. It had me from page one, and never let go. Usually, there would be a little retelling of the previous book at the beginning, but instead, the information the author gives at the beginning allows you to come to understand the characters so much better! I wish more books had that.

In this second book, Lexi's best friend Evie is the focus of the story. She has reached out to Anthony, because like Lexi, his life has been forever damaged by Jeremy. Lexi feels like she could help both Anthony and Lexi heal if they could find this guy so he cannot hurt anyone anymore. Anthony and Lexi race all over the country and England looking for the missing information that might help them catch that sadistic monster once and for all. But with Evie so close to Anthony, has she made a big target on her back? And they can't seem to figure out how Jeremy always knows where they are. The victims list grows larger and larger as they try to get ahead of the bad guy, but who is winning? And can love between Anthony and Evie last, with Lexi seeing the face of her attacker in Anthony? And who else in the house has been affected by Jeremy? Don't miss this series, it is a total page turner, and I am dying to read what happens next, and if the good guys can ever get Jeremy before he destroys more women's lives. This is going on my to-re-read list asap!

Caught in the Storm:

This is the third and final book in the Storm series, and as an ending, this book is dynamite! I have loved every book in this series, each one has given the story a new twist. As for retribution, this one takes the cake. I felt like the fear that the other books instilled was amped up in this one. This bad guy, Jeremy, is the creepiest bad guy ever. He could not have been more sadistic if he tried. That helps you feel for the good guys. Noah and Lexi, Evie and Anthony, and Jackson and Kat, are all working hard to find him, and are thwarted at each turn. We are introduced to a new "victim" who is also hunting Jeremy. The longer she works to understand him and plot her revenge, the more her morality is blurred from good to bad. I loved this. To me, this showed how anger and hatred can eat at someone until getting even takes on a new meaning and it corrupts her. I loved that she isn't portrayed as a perfect good guy. This book had everything. A love story, a revenge story, plenty of fear, and a satisfying ending to the saga. This is a great series, and I can't wait to see what new tales will come from this amazing author!
