REVIEW - Red Dirt Road by Annie Rose Welch

The Saving Angels Series continues…

A new cast is introduced, while journeys already taken start to merge with the present, leading you down the old Red Dirt Road.

Death has always seemed just one step behind Layla Hill, taking almost everyone she’s ever loved. After she loses the love of her life, Layla vows to never love again—how could she, when she’s a death magnet?

Trying to outrun fate traveling with her uncle Willie and his band, Layla meets Michael Roberts, a beautiful Irish boxer as gentle on the piano as he is brutal in the ring. He proves as relentless in life, fighting for a place in her world even as she pushes him away, trying to protect him from her killer tendencies.

But neither foresees the sinister presence waiting for Layla at the end of the Red Dirt Road.

I was provided a copy of the books in the Saving Angels Series in exchange for an honest review as part of Drue & Sassy's Team.

I absolutely loved Marigny Street and jumped right into Red Dirt Road as I could not wait to read what was in store next for Gabriel and Eva. When I initially began reading and realized that these are not the characters i would be reading about I was a little disappointed. Because of this disappointment I did have a harder time getting into the book, however I am pleased that I stuck with it. Once again the characters in this book have each experienced hardships in their life. I love that these two met and knew they were meant to be in each others lives. I also enjoyed that the author created the story so that family and friends were involved, because while I do love reading fiction I do want to be able to relate to characters and their story in someway and family and friends are typically a huge part of anyone's life, even that black sheep in the family. While these books are part of a series and have small things that tie the books together, they can certainly be read as stand alone novels as well.
