Sometimes erotic romance does have a happy-ever-after! Eveʼs quest to find her past leaves no time for love, until a chance prediction leads to the seductive Ky Ransom and a destiny that could make - or break - both their hearts.

Reeling from the death of her mother and the realization that she was adopted, Eve Perroni embarks on a quest to find her birth family. A chance encounter with a mysterious fortune-teller leads her to the Australian bush and Cavanagh Cottage, the birthplace of her infamous outlaw ancestor. She intends to research and write the story of her past, but in doing so finds herself in direct conflict with charismatic developer Kyan Ransom - the very man she has been told will fulfil her heart’s desire for a future centered around family…if she will just allow herself to love him.

Ky needs Cavanagh Cottage almost as much as Eve, and he has the money to get what he wants. Every single time. Can these two souls on a collision course find the true love that has been predicted, when everything they are searching for could be snatched away at any moment?

Eve Perroni is going through a rough time. Her mom died but before that happened her mom told Eve a secret that she and her dad have kept Eve's entire life. Eve is adopted. Eve found out she comes from a family by the name of Cavanagh. Eve finds out that her ancestral home is up for auction and she wants it. But she see's Ky and he wants this land with the cottage. But something is making Eve want Ky and she doesn't even know this man.

Ky is a guy who gets what he wants. He has been in the public eye for most of his life and when the Cavanagh cottage goes up for auction, he wants it because he made his a sister a promise and he can fulfill the promise with this land and the cottage.  But he see's Eve and she is beautiful but she wants this cottage also but he is going to crush her because he will have this cottage and the land and he will get what he wants. But he not only wants the cottage and land, something is making him want Eve too.

This was a nice read and I could relate to the characters but I did have a couple issues with this story. First off all right after meeting Ky for the first time, they end up screwing each other in the cottage that Ky ended up winning in the auction. My problem with this is why would Eve right after losing the home she so desperately wanted, would she drop her panties and get screwed by a total and complete stranger? I have a hard time believing this because Eve was hurt and upset at Ky because he won the cottage. You don't normally go get naked with a guy you have never met (unless you bring him home from a bar) let alone a guy who takes away the cottage and land you had your mind completely set on buying. Their relationship was rushed in my opinion and having them have sex after only meeting for 5 minutes, I just can't wrap my mind around it.

The other part I have an issue with is Eve goes to meet her birth father and the very first time she meets him, she spills her guts to him and he gives his best fatherly advice and everything is all right in his and her world even though he has never been around to give advice but yet she takes it the very first time they meet. I would want to get to know the guy who was my birth father before I ever could take any advice from him. Maybe it's just me. I just can't see either one of these two things occurring as fast as the author portrayed them both.
Now keep in mind this is my opinion and I would want you to read this book yourself instead of just taking my word for it. Overall this book was a good read and it did keep my interest all the way through till the end. I will read more from this author if I get the chance because she is a very good writer.
