Review-This Year's Love by Patti Korbet

What if getting all you'd ever wanted...

Oncology nurse Annie Ward has spent her whole life competing with her older sister, Emily, in every single thing, especially when it came to their parents' affection. The ultimate insult came when her mother overlooked the fact that Annie was instantly attracted to handsome, beefy Josh Ricker from the moment she met him, and instead, pushed the man toward an uninterested Emily.

For over five years, Annie sat and watched her sister barely appreciate Josh while she listened to Emily's complaints. Left to the sidelines, her only option was to become best friends with the man of her dreams, hoping the tide would turn in her favor someday.

That day came when Emily, who was fed up with marriage pressure from her mother, finally pulled the plug on her relationship with Josh and promptly met the man of her dreams. Annie offered Josh a shoulder to cry on, and the two of them realized there was already a lot more than friendship between them.

Patti Korbet has had a love affair with books for as long as she can remember. She has been telling stories for as long as she has been reading them, if not longer. Her brain constantly imagines - it's a good multitasker, even if she isn't so great at it.

While staying home with her young children, she decided to finally take the plunge and make a go of writing. The official process began in December 2009 and ramped up to full steam ahead in the fall of 2012. Back to December is her first novel.

She lives in Maine with her husband and their two children.

This is the fourth book in the Ward Sisters Series, This is Anne and Josh's story.

In the other books I didn't really care for Anne I am proud to say this author has convinced me that Anne's story was one that needed to be told. In all of these books there is more than meets the eye.

Anne is trying to please everyone and that doesn't always work out. I have read all of these books so far and they are a series but I think you can read them as a stand alone or out of order and still enjoy them. I was gifted this book for a fair and honest review.
