This was a wonderful book. Laura has a secret from her past that she tries to forget until that past comes back to hurt her, literally. Her life is in danger and to protect herself she'll have to admit her worse shame to those she cares about. Lucky for her she has Vic (the cousin of Tony from Laying a Foundation). He is ready to put his life on the line to protect and hopefully build a future with her. Right when they think the danger has passed new dangers and secrets are revealed and it's up to the whole Walters clan to work together to protect both Vic and Laura. This book has some tough subject matter and at some points in the story I got teary and sad for both Laura and Vic. This story focuses on character development and the growing relationship between many of the characters of the series. A wonderful addition to a great series. |
