This book is a short love story about the power of love. It is preceded by Second Time Around but can be read as a standalone. It contains homosexual relationships. Gabriel is a keeper of souls. He has been watching over them for millenniums. But one soul is different -- the first time Gabriel holds it in his hands, he knows it is remarkable. For this soul causes something inexplicable. Gabriel feels. Falling for a human isn't possible; but when that soul grows into Luke Lawson, Gabriel can't contain his growing feelings. Not knowing where to turn or what to do, Gabriel keeps vigilant over Luke and is surprised repeatedly when Luke knows he's there. It isn't possible. But it's happening. As time passes, Gabriel's feelings for Luke intensify, and Luke's heart reciprocates. Can love overcome everything? Can Gabriel truly fall?

This is the follow up book to Second Time Around, but it can be read as a stand alone. I think I liked this book even better than the first one. This is a sweet love story with angels. What's not to love? This can easily be read in a sitting, and it will leave you feeling warm inside. Gabriel has been a keeper of souls for a very long time. But when he holds his next soul, he is finding that he has feelings for his charge. That has never happened before. He speaks to Michael, yes, that Michael, and is told it had happened once before, and that the charge was given to another angel to watch over. Gabriel was not going to let his charge go. His soul became Luke Lawson. Gabriel watched over Luke very carefully. And to his surprise, Luke could see him and sense him as well. Gabriel was falling in love with Luke, but he stayed quiet, coming to Luke when he was needed. But when Gabriel looked in to the future while Luke was overseas on a delta force special op mission, he saw Luke dying. He had to save Luke so he fell from Heaven. Giving up his immortality to save Luke is only the beginning. There is so much more to this book that you have to read for your self. It is a really sweet love story with life long friends in it and a great side story as well. If you like a light, heart warming story, grab a copy of this book. It sure warmed my heart right when I needed it most.
