When mega movie star and two time Academy Award winner, Austin Grainger voluntarily gave up his dazzling film career, his adoring fan base thought he’d lost his mind. For Austin, the seclusion of fifteen hundred acres in the middle of Texas sounds like paradise. No more cameras, paparazzi, or overzealous media to hound him every day and night. Little did the sexiest man alive know when one door closes, another usually opens. And Austin’s opened by way of a sexy, hot ranch owner right next door. Kitt Kelly wasn’t your average rancher. He’s young, well educated and has hidden his sexuality for most of his life. When his long time wet dream materializes as his new neighbor it threatens everything he holds dear. No way the ranching community would ever accept him if he came out. With every part of his life riding on the edge, can Kitt risk it all for a chance at love or will responsibility to his family heritage cost him his one chance at happiness?

I loved this book! The characters are so down to earth, you can't help but care about them. This was a great read from the beginning to the end. The romance is hot, the twists and turns keep you guessing, and the outcome catches you right in the gut. I loved the author's writing style, the book reads pretty quickly, yet it isn't a short story by any stretch. Just an all around great read! Austin Grainger is a burnt out, Hollywood megastar living the "dream" life of an actor. Or so everyone thinks. He left his small Texas town for California and modeling and ended up one of the biggest stars in film. But he is tired of the lies. He is gay, but hiding it. He has hired Cara, his "girlfriend", as a cover. She plays the part perfectly, but he is so done with it. He wants to retire to his new farm in Texas and disappear. Kitt Kelly has never had it easy. His father beat the tar out of him for every little thing. He is trying to fix the farm, but his dad had run up quite the debt before he died suddenly at 55 of a heart attack. Kitt is gay, but no one knows. Well, his hook up, Sean, who lives in Dallas knows. Kitt has it hard enough with trying to bring modern agricultural procedures into the farming practice. And Verne, his father's old foreman, has been trying to ruin Kitt since his dad died. One last chore for Austin to get through and then he can escape to Texas. Winning an academy award back to back is making him even more famous. He can't wait to leave, he knows Cara will be fine, he saw to it. He arrives at his farm and feels at home. He has made everyone sign confidentiality clauses and he bought the land using his business as cover. He settles in and is loving it, until he meets his new neighbor during an argument over a pond on the property. He remembers Kitt from high school. He has been dreaming of him for years, and he believes that Kitt may be gay. When Kitt's hook up comes to his farm, Austin's security gets some hot pictures. When he gets Kitt to come over for dinner, he confronts him about being gay and sparks fly! Theirs is a soul mate like connection, but nothing is ever easy. Kitt cannot come out because he has too much riding on the farm and his family that he is responsible for. He fears anyone finding out. And he is afraid that when the newness wears off, Austin will go back to Hollywood and leave him. Austin tries over and over to get Kitt to believe him that he is going nowhere. But the press is relentless. When Austin's e mail gets hacked, they find the photos and both of their lives are going to be ripped open. Can Austin figure out a way to save the situation? Or are they destined to fail? And what will happen when people find out about Kitt? Can he save the farm and his heart? Or is it one or the other? This is an exciting and sexy read that has the drama of Hollywood and the swagger of a cowboy romance all bundled in one delicious book. Grab yourself a copy and settle in for ride!
