What if your family had a big secret . . . a life changing secret. My dad, the bigwig CIA agent, was always on the run, whether he was being chased or doing the chasing. I missed him. Then my mom passed away, and my sister was murdered. I turned my solitude to strength because the alternative was too bleak.
But my luck seemed to turn: I met Tango. And while I want him more than I’ve ever wanted anything in my twenty-two years, danger lurks around every corner and I simply can’t take the chance of it finding me. But his tattoos, his smell, his darkness, and his body— that marine has taken over my every thought. But, what if he too isn’t what I think? A ticking time bomb isn’t going to leave me much time to waver. Even the bravest person can be in need of a miracle.
Before she was gone, my mom warned me to know everyone and trust no one. But what was I supposed to do when I found out I am the one not to be trusted? Turns out, I was always the bait in this conspiracy.
In author Shari J. Ryan’s gripping novel, TAG, the canyons hold secrets, the waterfalls provide safety, and romance has a pesky way of showing up when you are sweaty and dirty and least expect it.
This book has adventure, suspense, romance and lots of emotional drama. It is a stand alone well written book, the characters are well written but not very believable. Tango was discharged from the military due to illness but has a job to do, to protect Carolina(Cali). How do you do this when your illness gives you months to live and should have you bedridden?!? Not driving cross-country or hiking for miles in the hot sun!!! Cali is a tough female with ninja skills and a smart mouth, the ability to shoot a gun and live on the run and out maneuver the bad guys for her young age(very Jane Bondish) .She grew up with her mother and sister, dad CIA operative was never around or an active part of her live, he did teach her her skill, when he was around.Mom died of cancer in her late teens, she watched her sister be murdered by operatives looking for her father shortly after, on the run and alone she lived by her mother's last words, " know everyone but trust no one!!" Cali promised her sister revenge on her murderer. Her father's whereabouts unknown, he calls from burner phones to protect her, sends her Tag (Tango) to help protect her( ex-marine hot alpha man). Well let the sparks fly and the adventure begin, this is a fast paced read. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it!!! Given book for an honest review 4.5 stars.
