Evie Bishop grew up loving Kick Hanson. He loved her, too. They were inseparable. Best friends who looked out for each other. Until the day scandal hit their families and ripped everything apart, changing the course of all their lives.

Kick follows a dangerous path that leads him to the Storm MC where he spends his days buried deep in a violent and lawless world that is slowly consuming his soul. Evie works hard to escape the hopelessness that threatens to swallow her after her family is ripped apart. She builds a stable life for herself, however it's devoid of the one thing she has always longed for - Kick.

The love these two have for each other never wavers but sometimes in life, love isn't enough. Even in the times they find each other again, they can never make it work. Kick fights against bringing Evie into his world and Evie refuses a life with Kick if he won't fully commit to her. However, when circumstance throws them together again, Kick knows he must finally make her his. The trouble is, Evie's done. She loves him but she believes their chance to be together has long passed.

When Kick finally stakes his claim, will Evie relent and give their love another go, or has Kick left it too long to go after the woman who has owned his heart forever?

Relent is the first book in the Sydney Storm MC series. This is a spin off series to the Storm MC series. Readers do not have to read the Storm MC series to read this one.

I cannot say enough great things about this book. I loved everything about it. I loved the way the author showed that life long love does not always work out until its suppose to.

Evie and Kick have been best friends since they were kids, their families almost inseparable until one tragic event leads to another tragic event that rips the long time family friendships apart and starts a downward spiral for many members of both families. But Evie and Kick remained attached to each other until their own inner issues get in the way. Then yet another tragedy reunites Evie and Kick and that is when Kick realizes he can't live without Evie, but the road to happiness is not an easy one and both of them have to work hard to get there.

This book also had an underlying story of self doubt and low self esteem, due to many events in her life Evie just does not think very highly of herself, and Kick is just absolutely AMAZING at making Evie see, believe and feel her own self worth. What can I say, Kick is just......dreamy, he's not a billionaire, or a celebrity, in fact, he's actually a criminal, but even his criminal activities have a deep underlying meaning, he's the perfect book boyfriend as far as I'm concerned.

A Family Saga with humor, heat and heart--not to mention beer, bourbon and basketball!

Every family has one—the black sheep, the problem child, the prodigal. But Dominic Sean Love could teach all of those guys a lesson or two. Stuck in the middle of a boisterous group of siblings, he’s given “acting out” a new meaning from day one.

While he’s the one son who follows his strict father’s footsteps into the Love family business, he’s also the one who butts heads with him the hardest. Their epic clashes are the stuff of family legend. But they have made peace and work side by side to take Love Brewing to the next level of success.

Until Dominic does the one thing his father can never forgive.

Diana Brantley has been Dominic’s friend, girlfriend and ex-girlfriend so many times she’s lost count. When he shows up at the farm she’s slowly transforming into a wildly popular farm-to-table resource for restaurants all over the U.S. her first impulse is to shoot first and ask questions later. But she doesn’t. And their lives entwine once more, for good, bad and ugly.

ARC provided for an honest review

I'm not going to go through the book information, you can get all of that from the synopsis.  Instead I'm just going to share with you my thoughts on this amazing book.

Dom Love is one messed up Love Brother, and to me that just made him more endearing, there were times I wanted to take a 2x4 to his head, and times I just wanted to hug him.  The same goes for Diana I loved her but wanted to smack her sometimes as well.

This whole series and this book in particular are not just stories, they are journeys, ones that are filled with situations that can be found in our everyday lives.  Dom's journey to become the man he ultimately does is a long one, filled with missteps, mistakes, and regrets but there are also laughs, loves, and fun times and learning, lots of learning.

I think its clear if you look at my book list that I'm a sucker for family drama's and The Love Brothers is now cemented in my top family drama reads.  If you like books that pull emotions right out of you, and I mean ALL emotions, the good, the bad and the ugly then don't pass up The Love Brothers.

Her name is Emery Shaw…Emily Sanders…Emma Simpson...Ericka Smith.
Her family was well off, she ran.
They looked for her, she hid.
They found her, she ran again.
Tragedy strikes, she gets even.

The fact is, she doesn’t know who she is, she tried to run, to hide and make a life for herself, but that backfired. No one knows her except her best friend Rachel, if that’s even an adequate word for what they are to each other. Rachel helps her build a life for herself below the radar, which is fine until the unthinkable happens knocking Em out of her unfeeling cocoon. When her house of cards comes tumbling down she runs again, until the one person who can change her mind finds her.

** Due to adult situations, language and possible scenarios that may be difficult for some readers to take…take a breath before you start this one. It’s gritty and not pretty. Nothing is pretty here. Whiskey is a good thing. **

First, I have to say there was a tiny snafu and I almost missed out on reading this amazing story. Add to that I totally embarrassed myself on a super busy day at work when I received a message and responded to it without reading it thoroughly (something I complain about others doing all the time) *faceplant* But, R.L. Griffin being an amazing person saw past my blunder and I got a copy of Razorblade Kisses :-) *SNOOPY HAPPY DANCE*.

Razorblade Kisses is the amazing journey of Emery Shaw who runs away from a horrible childhood situation. The story follows Emery through her journey to eventually heal and put her past behind her.

Emery has had her youth ripped away from her, the only bright spot in her life is her baby sister. Emery meets Rachel and they become instant best friends and Rachel becomes Emery's lifesaver. Emery pulls together enough strength to do the one thing she does not want to do, but she knows she has no choice if she is to survive, she runs away and leaves her sister behind. But the demons are always with Emery as she starts her road to recovery. Emery meets people who become instrumental in her long road to healing but when the demons reemerge Emery must once again start over and it breaks her even further. When the ultimate final straw comes to break Emery's back this book explodes and I was completely thrown for a loop at what transpires, and then once again Emery is on the run but this time she's making sure its for good and that no one else will ever be affected by her demons.

**Disclaimer** Razoblade Kisses contains adult situations, language and serious difficult scenarios that may not be suitable or comfortable for some readers.**

Heed the warning above, if you cannot handle abusive scenarios (NOT overly graphic, but enough so you understand completely) then this book is not for you, its an emotional rollercoaster ride about a girl and her journey to overcome all the horrors that life throws at her and to become the amazing woman that she turns into.

If you can handle the above warning then I suggest you put this book on your MUST READ list of 2015.

A Family Saga with humor, heat and heart--not to mention beer, bourbon and basketball!

The smoldering intensity of first love ~ the forbidden fantasy of temptation ~ the cold hard facts of real life.

When one man’s hopes are dashed apart in a split second after years spent chasing a dream, he returns home to Kentucky furious at the world and everyone around him.

Kieran Francesco is the middle son of the volatile, tight-knit Halloran-Love family. His role as peacemaker and the one true athlete is well established. He now faces life devoid of the sport he adores after a horrific, career-ending accident, which places him in a new and entirely uncomfortable position: that of the brother with no future.

Over the course of a few tumultuous months Kieran is plunged back into life at the center of the Love family, where he must cope with one self-destructive brother, one ill-timed reconnection to an old flame and a series of bad choices that land him in more trouble than he’d ever known existed.

Wow after Love Garage I thought I had things all figured out, oh boy oh boy was I wrong.

Kieran Love, the perfect son, the perfect brother, or so everyone thought, until life messes with him and he takes on some bad habits to deal with it. When Kieran ends up in a local bar drowning his sorrow's he runs into his first love, who is engaged to the man of her dreams, its not their first run in, but its one that will set into motion events that will ultimately bring them closer together, but not before it drives them further apart.

Cara's life is perfect, she is about to marry her dream husband, or is she? So what if they have a few things to work through. Cara believes the trade off of things that are great vs. things that are not is worth it, she's thankful for what she has, until some events bring to light how wrong she is, including Kieran Love.

This series is written in true Liz style, which means everything does not happen the way you think it would or should, and there are things that happen that just have you going WTF! Its great, awesome and keeps you wanting more.

In this installment we also get to know Dominic Love a bit better and I cannot wait for his book, Love Brewing set to release in March, I have a feeling its going to be the best one yet.

A Family Saga with humor, heat and heart--not to mention beer, bourbon and basketball!

Antony Love is the quintessential responsible oldest brother of a boisterous, Italian/Irish family, placed in charge at a young age by his parents who are busy running the family business. He manages his siblings with a fair but iron hand, until his life is shattered by personal tragedy leaving him the shell of the man he once was.

When outspoken matriarch Lindsay Halloran Love becomes ill, the youngest brother Aiden shows up at Antony's garage, having dropped out of school (again), needing work and a place to crash. Antony provides both, with three caveats: "Don't smoke in my truck, don't be late for work, and don't mess with my girlfriend."

But Aiden Love, budding novelist, gets one glimpse of Rosalee Norris, young widow of Antony's lifelong best friend and all bets are off.

I have been a follower of Liz Crowe's books for quite a while now and I just have to say I LOVE THIS NEW SERIES.

This first installment is about Antony and Aiden Love, brothers in a dynamic Italian/Irish American family of 4 boys and 1 girl.

When Aiden returns home after a long time gone chasing his dream of becoming a successful author he spots his brothers girlfriend and falls immediately in lust.

Antony Love, the oldest son in the Love family is damaged by events of the past, but through it all he has had one constant, Rosealee, his best friends widow, now his girlfriend. They love each other, they are good together and when they finally move forward with their relationship, everything seems perfect, or is it?

I absolutely love a great series based around a normal, dynamic family unit and the Love Brothers Series fits quite perfectly.

I'm off to dive into book 2, Coach Love and find out all about Kieran Love.

A Cyn & Raphael Novella

ALLEGIANCE . . . the ties that bind. Friendship, duty, blood.
TREACHERY . . . when friendship is abused, duty turns to burden, and blood is not enough.
UNFORGIVEN . . . because there are some things that can never be forgotten.
Allegiance . . . Treachery . . . Unforgiven.

War is imminent, and a spy has infiltrated Raphael’s estate. But his target is not Raphael; it’s his sister, Alexandra, whose earlier duplicity nearly cost Cyn her life. Raphael and Cyn are determined to play the spy’s game, traveling to Mexico to discover who their enemy is and just how far he’ll go to win. But once Raphael finds his sister, can he take the chance that she won’t betray him again?

Ohh what a great novella, I honestly did not think we would hear anymore about Alexandra, and I had more than a few OMG moments during this novella. Like a spy actually getting into Raphael's compound, WOWSA! But all is not as it seems, it takes a bit to finally figure out what exactly is going on but when you do, wow, just wow. We also get to see a different side of Juro who I just love, I hope there is more on this in later books. As I said in my review of Vincent, I believe there is something big coming in this series and everything we have read and discovered is leading up to it, and I cannot wait.
If you love this series but are one of those who doesn't pay attention to the novella's you are seriously missing out.

POWER, it comes down to this . . . those who have it, those who want it.
REVENGE, the need for it is a fire in the soul, a goad for the unwise.
HUNTED, the fate of the foolish when they think to become the hunter.

Power . . . Revenge . . . Hunted. The Lord of the Midwest is dead, and the powerful vampires of North America are gathering to choose his successor.

The Vampire Council will be there to oversee the competition—each of them focused on keeping the violence to a bloody minimum, including Raphael, who will do whatever it takes to ensure the victor is a vampire he can trust.

But someone is hunting, determined to stop Raphael and his mate, Cyn, from ever reaching Chicago.

Soon, the hunter may become . . . the hunted.

Hunted comes after Lucas' takeover and before Aden's, its where Lucas introduces Raphael to Aden, but there are others still ticked off over Lucas' takeover and when they make an attempt at Kathryn and Cyn is nearby they make a huge mistake, as everyone knows, no one puts Cyn in danger and lives, and of course Cyn has to investigate it herself :-) and the battle begins as Raphael, Lucas and Aden confront the one who has been endangering them.

Hunted is a great bridge between Lucas and Aden and it gives us just a tiny more insight into what lays ahead in The Vampires In America Series.

In this fun and saucy romance novel, all-star college basketball player Thea dominates on the courts—and off—with a rock star who is determined to win her over.
Thea is a star basketball player at UConn on track to be Rookie of the Year. That is, if she can stay focused on the game. Lately that hasn’t been going so well, as her knee has been bothering her. But that’s not the only thing on her mind...
Ever since rock star Keaton Lowe surprised her in the girl’s locker room, Thea can’t stop thinking about him. On top of his status and enticing ways, he seems to know everything about her. But some of his actions cross the line, and Keaton needs to be punished. Will Thea keep her head in the game, or get distracted by her other favorite pastime—reprimanding her rock star?

This is the first book I've read by this author and it won't be the last.
I loved this story even though anything sports related isn't usually my thing.
The approach this book took to Thea learning about a lifestyle she was totally unfamiliar with was just awesome, she took the time to really learn and be informed rather than to stumble her way through and potentially misunderstand something or worse hurt someone.
I just thought this was a great story all the way around, there wasn't a single thing I didn't enjoy while reading it. I highly recommend it.

Leaving him was Impossible…

It took everything she had for FBI Special Agent Danica Beckett to walk away from the man she loved. But if she wants to save his life, she has to keep her distance. Now, with a killer on the loose and the stakes higher than ever before, the Department of Covert Ops is forcing these former lovers into an uneasy alliance…whether they like it or not.

Seeing her again is even worse

The last thing Clayne Buchanan wants is to be shackled to the woman who broke his heart. She gets under his skin in a way no one ever has and makes him want things he has no right to anymore. All he has to do is suffer through this case and he can be free of her for good. But when Clayne finds out why Danica left in the first place, everything he’s tried to bury comes roaring back—and there’s no way this wolf shifter is going to take no for an answer this time.

The top secret DCO agency has been called in by ex-operative Danica Beckett, now an FBI Agent, to help solve a serial murder case, that has some unique characteristics that Danica notices all too well. Who does the DCO send? The one man she thought she would never see again, the man who hates her more than anyone in the world, the man who's heart she ripped to shreds, the man who she loves more than anything.

Clayne Buchanan has always been somewhat of a rogue, he doesn't play well with others, and he doesn't work well with others. Until he was paired up with the beautiful Danica, they were the perfect pair, partners in sync with each other and then Danica destroyed him.

I love this series, I like the whole government top-secret agency type stuff, the paranormal angle and of course the electrifying romance. X-Ops is a fantastic Paranormal Romantic Suspense Series and is at the top of my ones to watch for list!

Sinaloa, Mexico . . . haunting deserts, hot nights, and vampires, who’ve been there for hundreds of years, watching from the shadows, playing their games, manipulating humans, and surviving at any cost.
Vincent Kuxim, powerful and charismatic, was made vampire by an ambitious leader looking for soldiers to pave his way to the rule of all Mexico. But more than a century later, Vincent’s Sire is looking over his shoulder as Vincent closes in for the kill, ready to claim the title Lord of Mexico for himself.
Lana Arnold is a bounty hunter, smart, beautiful, and determined to chart her own future. So when the most powerful vampire lord in all of North America enlists her help in tracking down a very old and elusive bloodsucker, Lana sees nothing but opportunity. There’s only one catch. The client wants her to take Vincent—a vampire she neither knows nor trusts—along on her hunt. Then again, maybe it’s herself she doesn’t trust, because Vincent Kuxim is sex walking in a pair of tight black jeans.
Thrown together by circumstance, Vincent and Lana soon find themselves battling an evil they didn’t know existed in a fight that makes Vincent all the more determined to destroy his Sire, seize Mexico for himself . . . and keep Lana by his side forever.

This is without a doubt my favorite vampire series of all time. Vincent did not disappoint.
FINALLY, someone to take on the Lord of Mexico, but not before an adventure of course. Lana has 2 assignments, one is to find this Vincent and deliver a message and then for him to help her locate a myth and deliver another message, for Raphael.
What is Vincent to do when he receives a message from another, way more powerful Vampire Lord via the very pretty bounty hunter Lana, who seems to be immune to his charms but go along and figure out the puzzle.
As Lana and Vincent embark on their mission it becomes clear that this mission is much more than what it seems on the surface, its also a lot more dangerous.
Now I find myself sitting here, writing this review and wondering just where things can go from here, obviously its going somewhere. Everything in every book in the series has been a work up to something big and I'm dying for the next book to see what that may be.
Even if you don't really care for Vampires, I guarantee you will not be disappointed with Vampires in America.

Mitch Knight

1. Loves a good challenge

2. Never turns his back on a dare

3. Loves to create nicknames

4. Nobody cooks better than him

5. Doesn’t believe in love

When Parker Welsh sells Mitch Knight his organic restaurant, Willows, he not only gives Mitch ownership; but everything entangled with it. Including the annoying pastry chef who supplies the muffins and cupcakes.

Hayley Roth-Welsh

1. Loves To-Do Lists and Five-Year Plans

2. Has her dream job of baking sweets

3. Always tries to make others happy

4. Never seems to succeed with her family

5. Is still a virgin, waiting for love

Hayley played by her mother’s rules for the first eighteen years of her life, instead of heading to college as her family expected, she rebelled and opened a bakery, Pieces of Heaven. Her family expects her to fail and head back to school and their wish may come true once Parker sells his restaurant to the handsome, arrogant Mitchel Knight. It’s either join forces with him or lose her dream.

Born on the mystical day of October 30th in the not so mystical lands of Mexico City, Claudia grew up with a childhood that resembled a caffeine-injected soap opera. Seventeen years ago she ventured to the lands of her techie husband—a.k.a. the U.S.—with their offspring to start a new adventure.

She now lives in Colorado working as a CFO for a small IT company, managing her household filled with three confused dogs, said nerd husband, two daughters wrought with fandoms and a son who thinks he’s the boss of the house. To survive she works continually to find purpose for the voices flitting through her head, plus she consumes high quantities of chocolate to keep the last threads of sanity intact.

Everyone should know by now I'm a huge sucker for family book series.

First, we had Jake Knight in Getting By, twin to Mitchel Knight and the Knight brothers quickly hooked me.

Jake Knight is well on his way to finally marrying Emma, while Mitchel Knight is out growing his empire and staying as far away from love as he possibly can.

Haley Roth-Welsh is living part of her dream, but her family constant disapproval of her wears her down emotionally and then to top it all off she has to deal with the new owner of her brothers restaurant.

I love Mitch & Haley, Haley doesn't take Mitch's crap and their banter back and forth is just hilarious. Through their scheme to keep Mitch out of Emma's evil clutches Mitch and Haley become closer and closer, until fate takes over and steps in and everything unravels.

I love Standing By and I can't wait for the next book, Liam Knight batter up!
