Dreams and fantasies are just that for Mandy Brooks, assistant manager of Wentworth’s, an upmarket department store. Work always gets in the way. But then that is exactly how Mandy likes it. Until Christmas comes round again and she’s forced to play the part of Mrs Santa.
Christmas day five years ago, Tate Sullivan left town. It was also the day Mandy ditched him at the altar. Forced back because of his father’s death, he knows he’s got unfinished business with Mandy Brooks. He wants her back in his bed on his terms, his way. He’s out for revenge.

Author Jane Beckenham found literature at a young age. In books she discovered dreams and hope, stories that inspired in her a love of romance, and travel. Years later, after a blind date, Jane found her own true love and married him eleven months later.
Life has been a series of „dreams for Jane. Dreaming of learning to walk again after spending years in hospital. Dreaming of raising a family and subsequently flying to Russia to bring home her two adopted daughters. And of course, dreaming of writing.
With her family growing up, life is a round of playing mum's taxi service, all the while wondering what her hero and heroine are up to behind her back! Writing is Janes addictionand it sure beats housework.

Desperately Seeking Santa by Jane Beckenham was not one of my favorites but it was not a bad story. I just found myself wanting to slap Mandy too many times in this book. She acts very childish and hard to get. I also saw her as week because she let Tate’s mother keep her from marrying the man of her dreams.
I give this book 3 stars. I just was not impressed by the characters. I like this author and will recommend her books to those that are looking for a quick read.

Deborah gives Desperately Seeking Santa
3.5 Stars
