A Dominant who just couldn’t let go…
As an experienced Dom, Seba Havas, specializes in helping traumatized submissives find the release they need. He knows when a firm hand is needed or a gentle touch will work better, but nothing in his nearly fifteen years in the scene prepares him for Akira. Like a whirlwind, she turns his orderly life upside down with her refusal to submit. Still reeling from his failure with her six months later, he turns to 1Night Stand. Madame Eve’s suggestion? A trip to the Carnivore Club, the brand new BDSM themed Las Vegas Strip resort on a date to an elegant masquerade ball with a beautiful submissive.
A submissive who’s willing to sacrifice it all…
As the oldest daughter of the Ito clan, Akira has been responsible and self-controlled her entire life, up to the point it has caused her to lose the dominant she loves. Now she has one chance left to prove to Seba she can be what he needs. In true Vegas fashion, and with a little help from Madame Eve, she’s going to gamble it all on one night of dominance and submission. But will it be enough?
I read all kinds of BDSM books but this one was different from the others and it was a refreshing to see something totally different from anything else I have read.
Seba Havas, a very experienced Dom but not in the normal way most Dom's operate. Seba helps traumatized submissives find the release they need from whatever is holding them back from totally submitting to their Dom. Seba has had great success with his tactics and never failed in helping a traumatized submissive that is until Kotori. No matter what he tried to get her to get past whatever is holding her back, she always stopped herself right at the point where she was ready to finally let go but just couldn't. Kotori just couldn't tell Seba what was holding her back. Seba finally gave up and uncollared her and told her, he hopes someday she can let go but he had to let her go because she just wouldn't open up to him.
Seba always called Akira by the name of Kotori which is how the book calls her when talking about her. Kotori is from a very well known clan and her father was very versed in telling her what he thought she was doing wrong. She loved Seba and felt horrible about not being able to completely let go for him. She tried very hard but she just couldn't and she couldn't tell him why. But when he uncollared her and let her go, that broke her heart. She had to prove to him that she was worthy of his collar and was his always and completely.
Well there is a lady called Madame Eve who seemed to have a way of knowing who needed to be together and she would set up dates between the said people and that was that. Madame Eve sent Seba an invite to a brand new BDSM club called the Devils Playground and he would meet his blind date at the event. It was a costume event and he would know his date when he seen her.
I loved the whole secret identity date idea. Seba only seeing his date dressed as his favorite Manga character and not knowing anything else except her hard limits. When he found her, he couldn't believe his eyes and couldn't wait to scene with the woman. Throughout the night, Seba and his date talk and dance. He keeps thinking of Kotori and his dates mannerisms where almost like hers. Could it be? No it couldn't be because he let her go and there was no second chance. Or could there?
This is a great book and it's written so well that it was like I was there watching all this take place. I'm not telling anything else but you need to read this book. The ending was a great ending and made me smile at the end. I would've liked to know a little more of Kotori's past with her father and her upbringing. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
